This $1,000 scholarship was created to honor the memory of Madison Middle School student Burkley Hansen who was suddenly taken from us by an ATV accident in April 2015.  Burk was active in his church and local Boy Scout troop and loved athletics; especially basketball.  Burk’s last journal entry ended with the words “Focus on other people.  SERVICE.”

Criteria for qualifying for this scholarship are:

  1. Higher Education bound senior at Bartlesville High School

  2. Clearly demonstrated a focus on serving other people through both formal and informal positions in school and the community and involvement in other extra-curricular activities.
